The single-disc DVD player's progressive scan video output delivers incredibly realistic video images on HD-ready TVs and monitors. Besides playing DVD-video discs and standard CDs, it also plays the WMA- and MP3-encoded CD-R/RW discs you make on your computer, and will even display JPEGs from photo CDs. The powerful receiver (100 Watts x 6 channels) is the system's command center, and features Dolby Digital EX and DTS-ES 6.1-channel surround sound that uses a third surround channel and speaker (included) to make surround effects more realistic than ever. The HTB-707DV is also perfect for reproducing your music. Dolby Pro Logic IIx transforms your ordinary stereo music sources into 6.1-channel surround sound. Active EQ tailors the receiver's electronics to precisely match the system's speakers, so your music (as well as a movie's dialogue and sound effects) is faithfully reproduced. All six of the system's speakers are sonically matched to deliver a realistic surround soundfield that puts you right in the middle of the action. The powered subwoofer features a built-in 100-watt amplifier and 6-1/2 driver in a ported enclosure, pumping-out thunderous bass. The included remote controls the receiver and DVD player.
